DEATH ANGEL Taps RUSH/SHADOWS FALL Producer For New Album

September 8, 2007

Long-running San Francisco Bay Area metallers DEATH ANGEL will enter a Los Angeles studio on September 16 with producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, RUSH, VELVET REVOLVER, SHADOWS FALL, STONE SOUR) to begin recording their new album for an early 2008 release via Nuclear Blast Records. "Nick came up and did pre-production with us at our studio in Oakland and we had a BLAST," stated guitarist Rob Cavestany. "The vibe is certainly ON and we are beyond excited to start tracking with him! Recording should be complete by the end of October and mixed by November. This will undoubtedly be our best-sounding record ever! This album is gonna be insane. The songs are so fuckin heavy and wicked! Musically brutal. Brutally musical. This shit will wake you up!"

Rob Cavestany performed at a private-invitation-only party for STUF-TV cable show "Robb's MetalWorks" on Sunday, August 26 at the Cabo Grille in San Antonio. Rob played material from his solo disc and was joined on second guitar by DEATH ANGEL's Ted Aguilar. Rob's performance at the party, coupled with an interview, was taped for a future episode of "Robb's MetalWorks".

DEATH ANGEL's latest CD, "The Art of Dying", was released in May 2004 through Nuclear Blast Records. The group's first studio album since 1990's "Act III" was recorded at SF Soundworks studios in San Francisco, California with producer Brian Joseph Dobbs (VOIVOD, MANMADEGOD).
